March 26 solar eclipse

Thanks for the link, Karen. I wonder if it was even visible in London (especially if it was a cloudy day). Personally, I think much too much has been made of it. Who was the first to refer to it, I wonder? I don't recall a mention of it in Croyland, and, of course, it wouldn't be in Mancini, who left England before Richard was crowned.

Even if an eclipse isn't visible in a particular place, you can still feel its effects. Any full nor new moon intensifies energy, and this is heightened during an eclipse. Eclipses would have been noted in the 15th century, because people believed in astrology and had a fatalistic view of them.
