looking for Richard's horoscope or the time of his birth

I would like to see or construct Richard III's horoscope. I once was
very actively interested in astrology and in the past few years have
done almost nothing with it. But at one time I often got good
information about people I could learn little about by doing their
natal charts.

Someone mentioned on the gen-medieval list at Rootsweb that she has
seen Richard's natal chart, so some version of it exists. A proper
job would be based on what time he was born.

Does anyone have or has anyone seen Richard's horoscope?

Does anyone know what time he was born, or even what time of day he
was born? Any sort of story about his birth would be likely to
contain a clue. Such information might conceivably be more likely to
be found in biographical information or stories about Richard's
mother, Cecily.

I know so far that he was born at the castle in Fortheringhay,
Northamptonshire, England, on Saturday, October 2, 1452. The most
important elements of a natal chart are based on the time of birth.

Yours,
Dora

Well, this is truly bizarre - Dora, we must have a psychic connection
as last night I sat down to do Richard's chart myself! There was an
article by Dorothy Ryan, transcribed from a talk in 1959, which
discusses the charts of EIV, Clarence and RIII. The charts were done
using speculative birth times based on knowledge of the facts of each
of the men's life. Today, we can do computerized charts on the
internet, which is easier and more accurate than consulting an
ephemeris. The Astrodienst website at astro.com offers free on line
charts and they are quite accurate and good. Yhe year is taken into
account as Gregorian, for accuracy in putting together charts for
historical figures. In the Ryan article RIII's birth time was given
as 8:05am, to give him a Scorpio rising sign. However, when I
plugged in the time to the website, it still came up with a Libra
ascendent. 8:30am is the time I recified the birthtime to.
Consequently, I have done some reading on aspects, and there are some
very interesting 'hits' as far as I can ascertain. Of course, it
must be subjective without an accurate time, as birthtime determines
the house placement and without it, you are left with a solar chart,
which is more general. And of curse, since we don't know the man
himself, all interpretations are subjective as well. I tried to
stick to 'facts' with RIII when interpreting signs, houses and
aspects - his loyalty, the deaths of his father and brother when he
was a child, etc. If you would like to contact me off line, Dora,
please do at kimberloo1963@.... I would love to chat! Best, Kim
